Itaperu AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Rafael Chaves scored to the left of an out of position Vânderson Berger, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of Itaperu AD booed when Itajara fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davi Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulisses de Castro in the 10th minute of the match. Davi Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulisses de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Perez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Davi Souto. Itajara fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelsinho Perez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Rafael Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Berger having to interfere. In the 32nd minute of the game, Juvenal Costa landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. A collision led to Itaperu AD getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Hermínio de Lara hit a great ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Ulisses de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaperu AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses de Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Itaperu AD's goalkeeper Vânderson Berger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inácio Schmidt. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Teles during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Itaperu AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Teles to maneuver through the defense. Inácio Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Berger having to interfere. After the first half Itaperu AD were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulisses de Castro made a kick off. After 53 minutes, André Luiz Marques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itajara fc and the Itaperu AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Itajara fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luiz Marques to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Ulisses de Castro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 74th minute, Ulisses de Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Schmidt in the 77th minute of play forced Itaperu AD's goalkeeper Vânderson Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Ulisses de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulisses de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Davi Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davi Souto was a little too slow when Nelsinho Perez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-3. 89 minutes into the match, Itajara fc's goalkeeper Davi Souto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelsinho Perez. Hermínio de Lara succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 92nd playminute. When the match was over Itaperu AD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Itajara fc throughout the match.
