In the 17th minute of the match Sílvio Sabóia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Andrade showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedro Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauan Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Sauacu AD's Pedro Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Brodel in the 23rd minute of play. Gustavo Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulão Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Posangue's goalkeeper Gustavo Goiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremias Mumbach. 30 minutes into the match, Posangue's goal looked a bit too open when Paulão Barbosa came free, but Gustavo Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulão Barbosa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 34th minute. Sauacu AD's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Posangue's zone, Ian Peixoto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Goiano came out of the goal and Ian Peixoto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sauacu AD's Paulão Barbosa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 43rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Paulão Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gustavo Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chicão Brodel made a kick off. Paulão Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Gustavo Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Chicão Brodel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some careless play in the Posangue defense, Paulão Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Goiano. The Posangue fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Goiano should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Sauacu AD's Pedro Andrade got control of the ball when Cauan Meirelles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulão Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulão Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavo Goiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulão Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jeremias Mumbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Paulão Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Paulão Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
