Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Filipe de Alcântara kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, Rondinha's Nelsinho Pimenta got control of the ball when Jonathan Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jonathan Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Quintal got free with Nelsinho Pimenta in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rondinha's Nelsinho Pimenta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Rondinha from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Pimenta having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Gilmar Lago rounded Rondinha's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. If Noel Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Jonathan Quintal notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Rondinha's Nelsinho Pimenta. Nelsinho Pimenta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dadá Maciel might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Soares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dadá Maciel ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Quintal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Nelsinho Pimenta made a huge save. Caetano Alves's late challenge caught a Rondinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caetano Alves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, one of Caatingas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caatingas. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilmar Lago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gilmar Lago struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Nelsinho Pimenta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caatingas. Nelsinho Pimenta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe de Alcântara in the 58th minute of the match. Gilmar Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Rondinha's zone, Jonathan Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelsinho Pimenta came out of the goal and Jonathan Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nelsinho Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Lago in the 64th minute of the match. Hamílton Ramalho hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilmar Lago in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelsinho Pimenta saved Rondinha from getting behind. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rondinha's goalkeeper Nelsinho Pimenta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Caatingas's Gilmar Lago in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rondinha's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Nelsinho Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelsinho Pimenta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Quintal in the 97th minute of play forced Rondinha's goalkeeper Nelsinho Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caatingas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
