Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Fantini took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 10th match minute, Barroquinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Reis to maneuver through the defense. Bebeto Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertinho de Medeiros having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Raí do Vale notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Acare's Albertinho de Medeiros. Albertinho de Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A throw-in in the 25th minute of the game was made by Enrique Soeiro with Raí do Vale as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 28 minutes of play, Acare's Pedro Fantini made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Saraiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Fantini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Saraiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Acare's goal looked a bit too open when Raí do Vale came free, but Albertinho de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wanderson Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bebeto Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Pedro Fantini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Saraiva was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Júlio Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Pedro Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 minutes of play, Acare's Panagiotis Kapiris made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Saraiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bebeto Quirino was the one to do the kick off. If Pedro Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 58 minutes into the match, Barroquinha's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo de Toledo came free, but Júlio Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Fantini in the 64th minute of play forced Barroquinha's goalkeeper Júlio Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Tomé Reis hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Galvão in the 79th minute of play forced Barroquinha's goalkeeper Júlio Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
