Helvetia SC's Pedro Luís Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Nogueira in the 3rd minute of play. Bitaculo SC's Gerson Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Veiga in the 16th minute of play. Gerson Quirino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Messias's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 21st match minute, Bitaculo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. Gerson Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Veiga in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Nuno Messias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Arí Brodel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Vágner Nogueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luís Cruz was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. If Dorival Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 58 in the game by Nuno Messias from a close distance when the talented Gerson Quirino managed to make a qualified save. Bitaculo SC's players were relieved. Ramiro Veiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerson Quirino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vágner Nogueira in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Luís Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerson Quirino was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Isaltino Souto. A collision led to Bitaculo SC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Enéas Secco hit a great ball. With a little luck, Bitaculo SC's Gerson Quirino got control of the ball when Nuno Messias tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vágner Nogueira in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luís Cruz saved Helvetia SC from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Nuno Messias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gerson Quirino. The goal made the score 0-1. 80 minutes into the match, Vágner Nogueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Luís Cruz. Helvetia SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vágner Nogueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 85 played minutes, Helvetia SC's Ernani de Brito shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gerson Quirino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Helvetia SC reached it. Pedro Luís Cruz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enéas Secco went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Helvetia SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
