After 32 played minutes INDEPENDENTE FUTEBOL CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Vito Soares. 38 minutes into the match, INDEPENDENTE FUTEBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio de Toledo came free, but Haroldo Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haroldo Tande stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Márcio de Toledo's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. C.'s Haroldo de Amorim fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Válter Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Tande having to interfere. Márcio de Toledo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Haroldo Tande having to make a save. Aníbal Bastos's late challenge caught a Rondonopolis E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aníbal Bastos helped the player get up and apologised. INDEPENDENTE FUTEBOL CLUB's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Haroldo de Amorim scored to the left of an out of position Haroldo Tande, making the score, 0-2. Rondonopolis E. C.'s Kaká Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, INDEPENDENTE FUTEBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Haroldo Tande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo de Amorim.
