Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) If Alfredão Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredão Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Vaz having to interfere. Alfredão Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Sidnei Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe Siqueira in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute João Paulo Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Formosa Futebol Clube's Sidnei Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Torres in the 21st minute of play. Alfredão Guedes might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidnei Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredão Guedes ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe Siqueira in the 31st minute of play forced StardaS's goalkeeper Samuel Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Formosa Futebol Clube's zone, José Vítor Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidnei Vaz came out of the goal and José Vítor Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Formosa Futebol Clube's Sidnei Vaz got control of the ball when Alfredão Guedes tried to sneak it across the goal line. João Paulo Teixeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Antunes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Paulo Teixeira ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Vítor Torres made a kick off. Genílson Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Samuel Antunes made a huge save. In the 53rd minute of the match Formosa Futebol Clube got a corner. StardaS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Renato Arruda ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Renato Arruda got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Samuel Antunes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Torres in the 55th minute of play forced Formosa Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sidnei Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dênis Botelho charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dênis Botelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Formosa Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! The referee gave StardaS a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bernardinho Rezende, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Formosa Futebol Clube's Sidnei Vaz. 1-0. In the 61st minute, João Paulo Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Paulo Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dênis Botelho was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Dênis Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Jefferson Figueiredo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sidnei Vaz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Guedes in the 73rd minute of play forced Formosa Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sidnei Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sidnei Vaz came out of the goal and Bernardo Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, João Paulo Teixeira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Samuel Antunes, passed just outside the right post. Alfredão Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sidnei Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Torres in the 96th minute of play. Bernardo Souza's late challenge caught a Formosa Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Souza helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. StardaS had won after a very even match.
