Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Massape's Cássio Amorim started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Massape's Cássio Amorim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Prestes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Sidney Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Túlio Marinho made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Henrique Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cristino's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Túlio Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hílton Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Prestes having to interfere. Paulo Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Massape getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Michel Quintal hit a great ball. With his leg Túlio Marinho managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Cristino's Sidney Costa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cristino's Paulo Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Amorim in the 32nd minute of play. Paulo Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Amorim in the 35th minute of play. Sidney Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Túlio Marinho made a huge save. In the 39th minute Henrique Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Costa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Túlio Marinho firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 42nd minute, Hílton Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Massape's Cássio Amorim in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cristino's goalie prevented a goal. The Cristino players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Massape were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Henrique Araújo made the kick off in the second half. If Cássio Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 53 played minutes Cristino got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Xavier. After having played for 55 minutes, Cássio Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Massape's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sidney Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Túlio Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Túlio Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 72nd minute, Cássio Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Michel Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geraldo Vinhas, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Hílton Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Paulo Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Fiori Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Túlio Marinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henrique Araújo went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cristino fans cheered their team off the field, for while Massape had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
