The audience was convinced that Ulysses França's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enio de Almeida was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulysses França in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enio de Almeida saved BarSemLona Futebol Clube from getting behind. Ulysses França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gil Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Gabriel Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mainart AD's Gil Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe do Nascimento in the 19th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Elano Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute Elano Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes BarSemLona Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Felipe do Nascimento. In the 36th match minute, Mainart AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joélson Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Mainart AD getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ulysses França hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Chiquinho Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elano Reis in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enio de Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ulysses França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulysses França was the one to do the kick off. Elano Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enio de Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulysses França's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. When Chiquinho Abraão fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BarSemLona Futebol Clube's protests and gave Chiquinho Abraão a yellow card for diving instead. Diamantino Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulysses França's late challenge caught a BarSemLona Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulysses França helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th minute, Ulysses França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes, Perivaldo Valladares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mainart AD and the BarSemLona Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mainart AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! The referee gave BarSemLona Futebol Clube a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sandro Souto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mainart AD's Gil Vasconcelos. 1-1. Enio de Almeida was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joélson Paraibano. After 72 played minutes BarSemLona Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Souto. In the 75th minute of the match, Elano Reis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Enio de Almeida was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Tiago Gabriel Paes took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil Vasconcelos. Gil Vasconcelos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Enio de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulysses França in the 94th minute of play.
