The Camobi fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Camobi's Cássio Dantas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 10 minutes, Rogério de Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cabaca and the Camobi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cabaca's Rogério de Brito got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 13 minutes, Cássio Dantas made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Cabaca's Duda de Senna tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dráuzio Goiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogério de Brito's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Dráuzio Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arthur Ferreira during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Dedé Motta could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Dráuzio Goiano however easily saved by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Cabaca's Hélio Arruda got a free kick in the 51st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cássio Dantas in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duda de Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Camobi's Silas Freire pulled a muscle in his leg after 54 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurinho Meirelles during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Camobi booed when Cabaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurinho Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Cabaca's goalkeeper Duda de Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Luís Fonseca.
