Xiru FC's Egídio Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to The Wall S.C getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Waldir Marquez hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Evaristo Favoretto notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Xiru FC's Gláuber de Almeida. Gláuber de Almeida was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gláuber de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor da Silva in the 28th minute of play. Evaristo Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber de Almeida having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aníbal Amaral in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in The Wall S.C's zone, Egídio Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Carvalho came out of the goal and Egídio Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nestor da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aníbal Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Carvalho having to interfere. If Egídio Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gláuber de Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nestor da Silva went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 55th minute Gilberto Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chants of The Wall S.C echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Xiru FC had held the ball for most of the match.
