Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joélson Sousa kicked off to start the match. José Paulo Brito hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After 4 played minutes, Canafistula's Téo Duarte shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jailson Mesquita came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Canafistula reached it. Roger Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Davi Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davi Hoffmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joélson Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geovanni Veiga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joélson Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute Adilson Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Paulo Brito got his second yellow card in the match during the 28th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Adilson Moreno made the kick off in the second half. Roger Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Mesquita having to interfere. If Roger Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jailson Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Custódio in the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's Marcus Abreu got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Roger Custódio might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jailson Mesquita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jailson Mesquita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Canafistula's Roger Custódio got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Custódio in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jailson Mesquita saved VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB from getting behind. Adilson Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adilson Moreno in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jailson Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joélson Sousa hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Canafistula walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
