Jailson Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When La Società Sport Osasco's Augusto da Silveira in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Augusto da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the La Società Sport Osasco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto da Silveira couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the match, VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Custódio came free, but Jailson Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Flávio Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flávio Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joélson Sousa in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseu Reis saved La Società Sport Osasco from getting behind. In the 41st minute, Joélson Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliseu Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 47 minutes into the match, VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Custódio came free, but Jailson Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joélson Sousa to make the kick off. VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's Jailson Mesquita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute, Joélson Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's José Paulo Brito got a free kick in the 56th minute. Augusto da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Mesquita having to interfere. José Paulo Brito hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. La Società Sport Osasco's Eliseu Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fabiano Chaves in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Società Sport Osasco's Claudinei Paraíba got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Abel Aparecido took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eliseu Reis. La Società Sport Osasco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 88th minute Augusto da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Joélson Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliseu Reis was relentless in the 90th minute of the game.
