In the 12th minute, Jeremias Zanette made a precise shot to the right of Juan Prado. Tatu Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Tatu Futebol Clube's Juan Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Zanette in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tatu Futebol Clube's Fabinho Alves got a free kick in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Veloso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Juan Prado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Hortêncio Varela fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tatu Futebol Clube's protests and gave Hortêncio Varela a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Hortêncio Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Jeremias Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armandinho Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Salgado in the 37th minute of play. Armandinho Hoffmann came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Tatu Futebol Clube's Rafael Salgado. But to his dismay, Rafael Salgado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Jeremias Zanette made the kick off in the second half. Oswaldo Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeremias Zanette struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Juan Prado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gama EC. Tatu Futebol Clube's Juan Prado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Tatu Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Rafael Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tatu Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Salgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armandinho Hoffmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Trigo in the 73rd minute of play forced Gama EC's goalkeeper Armandinho Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armandinho Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Salgado in the 74th minute of play. Armandinho Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Trigo in the 81st minute of play. If Murilo Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 88 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gama EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tatu Futebol Clube the free kick. After having played for 91 minutes, Rafael Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tatu Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gama EC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
