Vicente Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 15 played minutes Real Clube Celta got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Quintal. Alan Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. José Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Eugênio Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Real Clube Celta's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Neiva came free, but José Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Jubaia's Eugênio Neiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Clube Celta's goalkeeper José Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Neiva in the 41st minute of play forced Real Clube Celta's goalkeeper José Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes, Alan Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jubaia and the Real Clube Celta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Guedes to strike the kick off in the second half. Zé Paulo Arce hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The referee ignored Real Clube Celta's protests and gave Edmílson Vides a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Jubaia's Cristóvão de Andrade got a free kick in the 74th minute. Alan Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Barros having to interfere. José Barros was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Eugênio Neiva capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eugênio Neiva really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3.
