The audience was convinced that Paulo Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dida Miranda was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Marcinho Botelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizinho Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Querencia SC's Marcinho Botelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Querencia SC from getting a goal against them. In the 85th match minute, Faisca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Neto to maneuver through the defense. Jerônimo de Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dida Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Dida Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olavo Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dida Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Rosado in the 90th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Paulo Gonçalves sped through Faisca's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dida Miranda. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Rosado in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Miranda saved Faisca from getting behind. If Paulo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
