The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Alexsandro Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 3 minutes, Almir Eger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castanhao SS and the Di Bobeira F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Castanhao SS's Almir Eger got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Mesquita in the 7th minute of play forced Di Bobeira F.C.'s goalkeeper Eduardo Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Almir Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Maia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Acácio Leal in the 17th minute. Alexsandro Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Abelardo Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Di Bobeira F.C. defense, Acácio Leal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Maia. The Di Bobeira F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Maia should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the game, Sandrinho Faria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Di Bobeira F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanhao SS the free kick. Sandrinho Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Eduardo Maia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Acácio Leal in the 32nd minute. Sandrinho Faria hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Di Bobeira F.C.'s Eduardo Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Mesquita in the 37th minute of play. Castanhao SS's Almir Eger suffered a sore thigh after 38 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Alexsandro Porto fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Di Bobeira F.C.'s protests and gave Alexsandro Porto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Alexsandro Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Acácio Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dudu Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dudu Britto to strike the kick off in the second half. Acácio Leal struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Eduardo Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanhao SS. Eduardo Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Acácio Leal scored 2-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Maia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Acácio Leal struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Eduardo Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanhao SS. Dudu Britto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Acácio Leal notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Di Bobeira F.C.'s Eduardo Maia. Eduardo Maia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 95 played minutes Castanhao SS got a freekick which was hit by Laerte de Amorim.
