Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Desejo SC's Zézinho de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Lucas in the 2nd minute of play. Maurinho Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Coelho having to interfere. After 13 minutes, Toninho Teles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fortal and the Desejo SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Fortal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Teles to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute of the match Dorival Correia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Coelho skillfully saved the ball. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, Nando Queiroz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zézinho de Toledo. Nando Queiroz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Nando Queiroz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Zézinho de Toledo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nando Queiroz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Zézinho de Toledo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Desejo SC's Umberto Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nando Queiroz was the one to do the kick off. When Rony Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fortal's protests and gave Rony Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Desejo SC booed when Fortal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nando Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Zézinho de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorival Correia hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Acácio Lago got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zézinho de Toledo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 63rd minute Nando Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zézinho de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Rony Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortal's supporters rose to their feet, but Rony Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zézinho de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, one of Desejo SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Desejo SC. Nando Queiroz took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zézinho de Toledo. Zézinho de Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Zézinho de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Nando Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zézinho de Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Umberto Miranda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Coelho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. If Nando Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nando Queiroz scored 5-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zézinho de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
