Adalmo Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Angelo Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalmo Melo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Pimenta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. If Luiz Paulo Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Patamute SC's zone, Afonsinho Albuquerque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Castro came out of the goal and Afonsinho Albuquerque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Pimenta was a little too slow when Luiz Paulo Sena got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. If Adalmo Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Paulo Sena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Pimenta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. A hard shot 33 in the game by Adalmo Melo from a close distance when the talented Angelo Pimenta managed to make a qualified save. Estudiantes da Serra's players were relieved. With a little luck, Estudiantes da Serra's Angelo Pimenta got control of the ball when Adalmo Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute Luiz Paulo Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th match minute, Patamute SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Duarte to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ismael Hermes was the one to do the kick off. Conrado Castro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonsinho Albuquerque in the 53rd minute. Patamute SC's Conrado Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Hermes in the 59th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Sena's late challenge caught a Estudiantes da Serra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Paulo Sena helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Patamute SC's Luiz Paulo Sena got a free kick in the 78th minute. A collision led to Estudiantes da Serra getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ismael Hermes hit a great ball. If Adalmo Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adalmo Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Estudiantes da Serra's Angelo Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Paulo Sena in the 93rd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Patamute SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
