An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Guedes in the 20th minute of play forced Macuna FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Paz AD booed when Macuna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paz AD's Tiago Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Branco in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute Túlio Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Eurico Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macuna FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tiago Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Túlio Branco's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Túlio Branco was the one to do the kick off. Tiago Mendonça stood somewhat misplaced when Túlio Branco came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 52 minute. 58 minutes into the game, Adolfo Queirós threw the ball into play from the sideline. Túlio Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Mendonça having to interfere. Adolfo Queirós made in the 71st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Macuna FC's Eurico Baptista. Túlio Branco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Tiago Mendonça skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Eurico Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 78 minutes, Eurico Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macuna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eurico Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. With splendid footwork Túlio Branco arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-2 by the left pole in the game's 85th minute. The throw-in from Adolfo Queirós in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Macuna FC's Eurico Baptista. After 90 played minutes, Macuna FC's Rubens Vianna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tiago Mendonça came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Macuna FC reached it. Macuna FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
