The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Viola da Maldade F.S's Vivaldo Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Capixaba in the 6th minute of play. Viola da Maldade F.S's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luciano de Amorim 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, João Carlos Vargas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Viola da Maldade F.S's Bruno Paraibano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Bruno Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viola da Maldade F.S's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitinho Aparecido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vítor Capixaba hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Viola da Maldade F.S's Bruno Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dagoberto Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Vitinho Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Vítor Capixaba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio PX's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viola da Maldade F.S the free kick. Vítor Capixaba hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. João Carlos Vargas got a throw-in 27 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luisão Mendonça. Dagoberto Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 minutes, Raúl Leite mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Viola da Maldade F.S and the Grêmio PX players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Raúl Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Paraibano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vitinho Aparecido having to make a save. Vitinho Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 43 minutes of play, Viola da Maldade F.S's Bruno Paraibano made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitinho Aparecido was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Paraibano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Viola da Maldade F.S's Dagoberto Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Vitinho Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viola da Maldade F.S's Vivaldo Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Capixaba in the 62nd minute of play. Bruno Paraibano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitinho Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio PX's zone, Paulão Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitinho Aparecido came out of the goal and Paulão Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Vitinho Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Capixaba in the 74th minute of play forced Viola da Maldade F.S's goalkeeper Vivaldo Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Luisão Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Vivaldo Pernambucano. Viola da Maldade F.S's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 80 minutes in the game, Gustavo Saldanha fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vitinho Aparecido having to interfere. Bruno Paraibano scored 3-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitinho Aparecido, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Viola da Maldade F.S's zone, Luciano de Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Pernambucano came out of the goal and Luciano de Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Mendonça in the 90th minute of play forced Viola da Maldade F.S's goalkeeper Vivaldo Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio PX's goalkeeper Vitinho Aparecido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bruno Paraibano struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Vitinho Aparecido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viola da Maldade F.S. Bruno Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Vitinho Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bruno Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viola da Maldade F.S's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Grêmio PX had won, even though Viola da Maldade F.S had held more of the ball.
