Caiua's Vítor Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Mesquita in the 18th minute of play. Elder Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Penha having to interfere. Guaxupe's Ricardo Penha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Guaxupe from getting a goal against them. Enéas Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Elder Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Ricardo Penha made a huge save. Ricardo Penha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elder Pombal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 39 minute of play. Ricardo Penha came out of the goal and Elder Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Caiua's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo de Andrade came free, but Vítor Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elder Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guaxupe's Tomé Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 69 minutes, Raimundo de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaxupe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo de Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Caiua's Vítor Bittencourt got control of the ball when Tomé Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomé Mesquita got free with Vítor Bittencourt in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Caiua had won after a very even match.
