Antônio Carlos Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso de Souza having to interfere. In the 8th minute Antônio Carlos Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antônio Carlos Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Celso de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betinho Bertassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Mirandinha AD's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Mattos came free, but Celso de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ladeira SS's Pedrão Pontes got a free kick in the 26th minute. Dráusio Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Celso de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Pedro da Cunha's late challenge caught a Ladeira SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Alfredo Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Antônio Carlos Mattos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celso de Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antônio Carlos Mattos in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso de Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antônio Carlos Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Araújo in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 73rd minute, Pedrão Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Mirandinha AD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ladeira SS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
