Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Waldir Cavalcante started the match with the kick off. In the 4thth minute of the game Sabino Vergílio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chapadao's Hílton Recife was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hílton Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabino Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. If Luís Guilherme Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Mamonas Assassinas's Jorge Linhares in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chapadao's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th minute, Jorge Linhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chapadao's Hílton Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Vergílio in the 17th minute of play. Angelo Fernandes's late challenge caught a Mamonas Assassinas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. Jorge Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hílton Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Fernandes hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Hílton Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabino Vergílio in the 27th minute of play. Jorge Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Recife having to interfere. Sabino Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Hílton Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Vitinho Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chapadao and the Mamonas Assassinas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chapadao getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Vitinho Valle hit a great ball. If Sabino Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Sabino Vergílio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mamonas Assassinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Sabino Vergílio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hílton Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Beto Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Sabino Vergílio made the kick off in the second half. Waldir Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Luiz Paulo Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chapadao's Hílton Recife proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Chapadao from getting a goal against them. Custódio Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Mamonas Assassinas's Luiz Paulo Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Correia in the 71st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mamonas Assassinas's Sabino Vergílio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hílton Recife. That made the score 0-1 after 76 minutes of play. Hílton Recife stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sabino Vergílio's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Luís Guilherme Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 85 minutes, Luís Guilherme Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chapadao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Guilherme Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hílton Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabino Vergílio in the 87th minute of the match. Waldir Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Seco's late challenge caught a Mamonas Assassinas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Seco helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chapadao's Elias Seco got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Mamonas Assassinas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
