The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matías Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Amauri Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AD Itacuruba's Alessandro Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Mandrak in the 8th minute of play. Virgílio Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Alessandro Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Virgílio Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AD Itacuruba:s Alessandro Souto showed great skill when he stopped Paulo Renato Santana:s penalty. 16 minutes into the game, Montanha de Zeus's Paulo Renato Santana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alessandro Souto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Norberto Porto put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Alessandro Souto. Norberto Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgílio Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Souto having to interfere. Montanha de Zeus's Ronaldinho Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norberto Porto struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Alessandro Souto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montanha de Zeus. Virgílio Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Norberto Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norberto Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matías Fontes made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Virgílio Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montanha de Zeus's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgílio Mandrak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessandro Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matías Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldinho Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Amauri Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Enrique da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Vaz having to interfere. AD Itacuruba's Alessandro Souto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save AD Itacuruba from getting a goal against them. Alessandro Souto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Mangueira in the 68th minute. After 76 played minutes AD Itacuruba got a freekick which was hit by Matías Fontes. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Virgílio Mandrak got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alessandro Souto was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Norberto Porto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Norberto Porto really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Ronaldinho Palmeira's late challenge caught a AD Itacuruba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronaldinho Palmeira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Montanha de Zeus's Ronaldinho Palmeira got a free kick in the 88th minute. Virgílio Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Alessandro Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Alessandro Souto managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Montanha de Zeus's Virgílio Mandrak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 96th minute Enrique da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Montanha de Zeus could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AD Itacuruba throughout the match.
