After some careless play in the SC Gramado defense, Otávio Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hélder Marques. The SC Gramado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hélder Marques should have stopped the shot. Perivaldo Moreira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hélder Marques. SC Gramado's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Otávio Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in CHELSEA TABAJARA S.A's zone, Bruninho Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidnei Vergílio came out of the goal and Bruninho Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Célio Tróia fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Gramado's protests and gave Célio Tróia a yellow card for diving instead. Giovanni Mesquita's late challenge caught a SC Gramado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giovanni Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, CHELSEA TABAJARA S.A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Gramado fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Marcos Recife might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Marques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 91st minute Otávio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilton Lago scored 4-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hélder Marques, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. CHELSEA TABAJARA S.A's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
