Luís Paulo Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Simões having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Ita SC's goalkeeper Ciro Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Carlos Vidal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cangaira's Angelo Arruda slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ciro Simões. That made the score 1-1 after 90 minutes of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Angelo Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cangaira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cangaira were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Ita SC to leave the ground with a draw.
