Nilson Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. If Baltazar Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltazar Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, arapongas fc's Deivid Tasso got a free kick in the 19th minute. Baltazar Neiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eusébio Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Supernova AD's Rodriguinho da Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusébio Simões narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Túlio Vergílio made a kick off. Marcos Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nilson Mello in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Tasso saved Supernova AD from getting behind. Eusébio Simões made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Rodriguinho da Rocha sent off a good shot on target. Eusébio Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodriguinho da Rocha in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Rodriguinho da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Supernova AD walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
