The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Betão Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Betão Soares fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Hugo Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Paraibano in the 12th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Pagode SS's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Rocha came free, but Hugo Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingaseiro's Hugo Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Mesquita in the 21st minute of play. Hugo Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Cauã Cordeiro's late challenge caught a Pagode SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauã Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Ingaseiro got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Cordeiro. Betão Soares was extremely unlucky when he, in the 36th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 37th minute, Caetano de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldo Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Vasconcelos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldo Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. Betão Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Lago having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After 51 minutes, Abel Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pagode SS and the Ingaseiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ingaseiro booed when Pagode SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humberto Paraibano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Hugo Vasconcelos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Betão Soares came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Pagode SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betão Soares couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ingaseiro booed when Pagode SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes Ingaseiro got a freekick which was hit by Caetano de Carvalho. 66 minutes into the game, Pagode SS's Betão Soares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugo Lago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Hugo Lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Rocha in the 74th minute of play forced Pagode SS's goalkeeper Hugo Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
