After a rather tough play, Canastrao SC's Donato Diniz got a free kick in the 5th minute. Jax Miña came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Manfredo França could save by the left post. Manfredo França didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Berger went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Canastrao SC's Luís Fernando Fonseca quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Paulo Renato Mazza, made in the 15th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the game, Haroldo Aguiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juquia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canastrao SC the free kick. In the 16th minute, Haroldo Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerson da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. A hard shot 20 in the game by Jax Miña from a close distance when the talented Manfredo França managed to make a qualified save. Canastrao SC's players were relieved. After 21 minutes, Glauco Esteves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canastrao SC and the Juquia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulo Renato Mazza hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Berger in the 30th minute of play forced Canastrao SC's goalkeeper Manfredo França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Ediberto Breckenfeld had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genílson Neto. Juquia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ediberto Breckenfeld was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience was convinced that Ediberto Breckenfeld's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genílson Neto was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Juquia defense, Ediberto Breckenfeld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genílson Neto. The Juquia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genílson Neto should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Váldson Terra notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Juquia's Genílson Neto. Genílson Neto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 48 minutes into the match, Juquia's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Terra came free, but Genílson Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ediberto Breckenfeld made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ediberto Breckenfeld got free with Genílson Neto in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Genílson Neto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Váldson Terra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 59 minute of play. Genílson Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Váldson Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Canastrao SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jax Miña came free, but Manfredo França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manfredo França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jax Miña in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Canastrao SC's Glauco Esteves got a free kick in the 70th minute. Genílson Neto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. 81 minutes into the match, Canastrao SC's goal looked a bit too open when Časlav Peljar came free, but Manfredo França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Juquia's zone, Ediberto Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genílson Neto came out of the goal and Ediberto Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genílson Neto made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Ediberto Breckenfeld sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Luís Fernando Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the game, Donato Diniz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Juquia's Časlav Peljar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 95th minute, Váldson Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Canastrao SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
