The Vira Lata F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizão Perez in the 18th minute of play forced Canastrao SC's goalkeeper Manfredo França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manfredo França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Perez in the 23rd minute of play. Canastrao SC's Manfredo França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Perez in the 25th minute of play. Manfredo França made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Aloísio Pirani sent off a good shot on target. But to his dismay, Luizão Perez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 34 minutes into the match, Canastrao SC's goal looked a bit too open when Luizão Perez came free, but Manfredo França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aloísio Pirani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Manfredo França made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ediberto Breckenfeld stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manfredo França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ediberto Breckenfeld who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Zé Paulo Tinoco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vira Lata F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pedro Luís Machado in the 80th minute. In the 88th match minute, Vira Lata F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Quirino to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Canastrao SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vira Lata F.C. throughout the match.
