Flávio Moreno came out of the goal and Joaquim Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Narciso Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With an all-out effort, Goyania SS's Tomé Oliveira threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcelo Toledo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Paris Saint Capanema booed when Goyania SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flávio Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Gonçalves in the 58th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Joaquim Gonçalves made a precise shot to the right of Flávio Moreno. Goyania SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Paris Saint Capanema's Tomé Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Paris Saint Capanema from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Marcelo Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paris Saint Capanema's Tomé Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Paris Saint Capanema from getting a goal against them. João Francisco Faustino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Narciso Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Toledo's late challenge caught a Paris Saint Capanema's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narciso Teles in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flávio Moreno saved Goyania SS from getting behind. Frédson Ferraz hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Paris Saint Capanema had played much better football throughout.
