Marcus Matos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Sandro Vinhas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sandro Vinhas was a little too slow when Juvenal Leite got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Juvenal Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro Vinhas made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Marcus Matos sent off a good shot on target. Raimundo Capixaba struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Eliézer Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube fish. Marcus Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Vinhas having to interfere. If Marcus Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 32nd minute, Juvenal Leite fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Juvenal Leite sped through Clube fish's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sandro Vinhas. After a defensive mix-up in Clube fish's zone, Marcus Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandro Vinhas came out of the goal and Marcus Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juvenal Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Vinhas having to interfere. Eliézer Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorival Moraes's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raimundo Capixaba to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Clube fish's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Matos came free, but Sandro Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorival Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Juvenal Leite had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sandro Vinhas. Clube fish's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juvenal Leite was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Formigas SC's Eliézer Reis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Formigas SC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juvenal Leite in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandro Vinhas saved Clube fish from getting behind. Raimundo Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Eliézer Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Matos in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandro Vinhas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulão Pena during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 81 minutes into the game, one of Clube fish:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Formigas SC. Valdemar Marquez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sandro Vinhas. 4-0. The goalkeeper, Eliézer Reis, was totally fooled by Clube fish's Léo Antunes, who 88 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Capixaba in the 92nd minute of play forced Formigas SC's goalkeeper Eliézer Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juvenal Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sandro Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Formigas SC had won after a very even match.
