After some careless play in the ShowTimes F.C defense, Edvaldo Freitas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juvenal Guedes. The ShowTimes F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juvenal Guedes should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Valinor's zone, Celsinho de Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amauri Branco came out of the goal and Celsinho de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Celsinho de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the ShowTimes F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celsinho de Castro couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, ShowTimes F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Gláuber Mota came free, but Juvenal Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Roberto Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Gláuber Mota cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Juvenal Guedes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th match minute, ShowTimes F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Valinor's Cristóvão Hoffmann couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ShowTimes F.C. Valinor's Nelson Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valinor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Celsinho de Castro scored to the left of an out of position Amauri Branco, making the score, 1-4. Roberto Albuquerque struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Amauri Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ShowTimes F.C. If Celsinho de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Albuquerque struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. In the 46th match minute, Valinor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni Senna to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Celsinho de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. ShowTimes F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Celsinho de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amauri Branco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.
The wind increased when Roberto Albuquerque made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Celsinho de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Valinor's Nelson Pinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Guedes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 57 minutes in the game, Nelson Pinho dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Gláuber Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 65 minutes, Nelson Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valinor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Pinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roberto Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Branco having to interfere. Celsinho de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Celsinho de Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amauri Branco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. After a rather tough play, ShowTimes F.C's Teodoro Reis got a free kick in the 86th minute. Amauri Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Roberto Albuquerque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Luciano dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valinor's protests and gave Luciano dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. If Gláuber Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Although ShowTimes F.C had been in control for most of the match, Valinor still came away with the win.
