After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, João Carlos Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. DarkWarriors's supporters rose to their feet, but João Carlos Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fritz Granberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Carlos Cabral in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fritz Granberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, Donato Quirino notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of DarkWarriors's Kaká Moraes. Kaká Moraes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tadeu Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaká Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Quirino in the 33rd minute of the match. Bruninho Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Granberg having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Carlos Cabral was the one to do the kick off. João Carlos Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio Veloso in the 56th minute of play forced Celtas FC's goalkeeper Fritz Granberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Celtas FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Igor Severo hit a great ball. When André Perez fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celtas FC's protests and gave André Perez a yellow card for diving instead. André Perez hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Fritz Granberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Cabral in the 71st minute of play. João Carlos Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Fritz Granberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Celtas FC defense, Tadeu Soares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fritz Granberg. The Celtas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fritz Granberg should have stopped the shot. In the 83rdth minute of the game Bruninho Ferreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Celtas FC's Fritz Granberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fritz Granberg came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by DarkWarriors's João Carlos Cabral. But to his dismay, João Carlos Cabral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Fritz Granberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Edgar Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fritz Granberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Ferreira in the 94th minute of the match. If João Carlos Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the DarkWarriors players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
