After 12 minutes of play, Varzeota AD's Almir do Valle made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dinu Deșliu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 15 minutes into the match, Artur Leão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dinu Deșliu. Paxua AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Artur Leão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. A collision led to Varzeota AD getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Igor de Sena hit a great ball. Artur Leão scored 1-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dinu Deșliu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Waldir Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paxua AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldir Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubens Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Álvaro Catarinense charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Catarinense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute, Álvaro Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Waldir Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sydney Pernambucano was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 45 minutes into the match, Paxua AD's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Leão came free, but Dinu Deșliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paxua AD's Dinu Deșliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Leão in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Varzeota AD were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Artur Leão made the kick off in the second half. If Waldir Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Varzeota AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Paxua AD. Waldir Viana stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rubens Recife. 2-3. In the 57th minute, Artur Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Almir do Valle got free with Dinu Deșliu in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Almir do Valle came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dinu Deșliu could save by the left post. Dinu Deșliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paxua AD's Dinu Deșliu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Paxua AD from getting a goal against them. Waldir Viana struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Rubens Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paxua AD. Waldir Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinu Deșliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dinu Deșliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Leão in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Paxua AD's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Leão came free, but Dinu Deșliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinu Deșliu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruninho Moreira in the 94th minute. Paxua AD's Dinu Deșliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Paraibano in the 95th minute of play. If Waldir Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th minute Sydney Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 99 minutes into the match, Paxua AD's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Leão came free, but Dinu Deșliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Varzeota AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paxua AD.
