After 21 played minutes João Carlos Saraiva rounded Collares's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 26th minute, Belmiro Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 minutes, Ulysses Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moral JFC and the Collares players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 27 played minutes Moral JFC got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Castro. If Pedrão Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Carlos Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Collares booed when Moral JFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belmiro Alcântara in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Carlos Meireles saved Moral JFC from getting behind. Alan Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Carlos Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Carlos Saraiva made a kick off. César Arruda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Carlos Meireles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Ciro Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Evandro Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Moral JFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Collares:s goal. In the 67th minute there was a penalty for Collares. Dagoberto Quirino stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving José Carlos Meireles. 2-1. Belmiro Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 played minutes, Collares's Dagoberto Quirino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Carlos Meireles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Collares reached it. In the 85th minute, Belmiro Alcântara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Carlos Meireles. The goal made the score 2-2. José Carlos Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Alcântara in the 95th minute of play. João Carlos Saraiva struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Alan Vander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moral JFC. Paulinho Bastos's late challenge caught a Moral JFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulinho Bastos helped the player get up and apologised. Paulinho Bastos hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
