Igor Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Faria having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Coxilha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Tróia came free, but Vicente Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Igor Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemente Koehler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Vicente Faria skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. João Paulo Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Gonçalves in the 19th minute of play. Igor Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Viana charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiro Viana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pitangui SC booed when Coxilha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pitangui SC's Valério Cunha couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Coxilha FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Tróia in the 30th minute of play forced Coxilha FC's goalkeeper Vicente Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Clemente Koehler notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Coxilha FC's Vicente Faria. Vicente Faria was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ricardinho Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Luís Fábio Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Clemente Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Faria having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Tróia made a kick off. In the 54th minute Igor Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Coxilha FC's zone, Clemente Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Faria came out of the goal and Clemente Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th match minute, Pitangui SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Koehler to maneuver through the defense. When Clemente Koehler got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Pitangui SC. Pitangui SC's Clemente Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Ricardinho Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardinho Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Paulo Pinheiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Coxilha FC's Vicente Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Koehler in the 77th minute of play. In the 81stth minute of the game Clemente Koehler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coxilha FC's Vicente Faria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Tróia in the 83rd minute of play forced Coxilha FC's goalkeeper Vicente Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Faria having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clemente Koehler in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Fábio Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pitangui SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
