Rony Trevisan's late challenge caught a Pontalinda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rony Trevisan helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Londrina E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Rony Trevisan. Fabiano Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dênis Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Fabiano Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho de Brito in the 6th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Tiaguinho de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontalinda's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiaguinho de Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabiano Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dênis Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Fabiano Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernandinho Galvão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Queiroz in the 14th minute. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Luiz Queiroz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fernandinho Galvão to make any attempt to save it. In the 21st minute Dênis Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabiano Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dênis Neiva's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 31 minutes into the match, Londrina E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho de Brito came free, but Fabiano Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Carlinhos Vidal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Londrina E. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pontalinda the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Londrina E. C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pontalinda:s goal. The referee gave Pontalinda a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lúcio Catarinense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Londrina E. C.'s Fabiano Arruda. 1-1. 38 minutes into the game, Pontalinda's Tiaguinho de Brito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabiano Arruda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Patrick Secco kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Carlinhos Vidal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernandinho Galvão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 46thth minute of the game Tiaguinho de Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Londrina E. C.'s Fabiano Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dênis Neiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luiz Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Fernandinho Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dênis Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, Londrina E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gugu Toscano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dênis Neiva in the 74th minute of play forced Londrina E. C.'s goalkeeper Fabiano Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Pontalinda's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Barreto came free, but Fernandinho Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
