Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Caninha's Júnior Proença started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romário Nóbrega during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Romário Nóbrega hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Nicolas Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Proença in the 8th minute of play. After 9 minutes, Ulysses Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caninha and the Tocandira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ulysses Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Queirós got free with Abel Furtado in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute, Hortêncio Vinhas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Caninha booed when Tocandira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeca Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Júnior Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Abel Furtado made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Fabrício Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caninha's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrício Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Proença in the 28th minute of play forced Tocandira FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júnior Proença took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicolas Trancoso. Nicolas Trancoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, Caninha's Júnior Proença sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolas Trancoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tocandira FC's Hortêncio Vinhas got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicolas Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Alagoano in the 37th minute of the match. Júnior Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Nicolas Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Fabrício Alagoano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Tocandira FC's Nicolas Trancoso. Nicolas Trancoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Tocandira FC's zone, Júnior Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Trancoso came out of the goal and Júnior Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hortêncio Vinhas was the one to do the kick off. Ulysses Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulysses Coutinho in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Trancoso saved Tocandira FC from getting behind. After having played for 55 minutes, Felippe Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caninha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felippe Lucas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Tocandira FC defense, Fabrício Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicolas Trancoso. The Tocandira FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicolas Trancoso should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Tocandira FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Caco Maranhense hit a great ball. Fabrício Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tocandira FC's Nicolas Trancoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Tocandira FC from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute, Fabrício Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute, Luizinho Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrício Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
