Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Júnior Proença made the kick off and thus started the match. Romário Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Chico Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabrício Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvinho Duarte charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvinho Duarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Santa cruz fc's Silvinho Duarte got a free kick in the 19th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Caninha's Leonardo Machado tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Caninha's Júnior Proença in the 22nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Chico Borges was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Santa cruz fc through an amazing save. 23 minutes into the game, Fabrício Alagoano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Chico Borges. Fabrício Alagoano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, Santa cruz fc's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Proença came free, but Chico Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabrício Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Borges having to interfere. Chico Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Fabrício Alagoano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chico Borges. Santa cruz fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabrício Alagoano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Fabrício Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Borges having to interfere. Júnior Proença was extremely unlucky when he, in the 44th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvinho Duarte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Júnior Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caninha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabrício Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Chico Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Santa cruz fc's zone, Júnior Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Borges came out of the goal and Júnior Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Júnior Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Chico Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santa cruz fc's Chico Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Proença in the 69th minute of play. Chico Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júnior Proença in the 71st minute of the match. Júnior Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Borges having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júnior Proença in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chico Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the game, Caninha's Fabrício Alagoano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chico Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júnior Proença in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chico Borges saved Santa cruz fc from getting behind. Fabrício Alagoano took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chico Borges. Chico Borges dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. If Fabrício Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Santa cruz fc's zone, Fabrício Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Borges came out of the goal and Fabrício Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Caninha players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
