Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hortêncio Vinhas got the match started through his kick off. Hortêncio Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Borges having to interfere. Tocandira FC's Zeca Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Queirós in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chico Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Eriberto Martins came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Santa cruz fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Martins couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Tocandira FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Trancoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvinho Duarte to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Zeca Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chico Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Santa cruz fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvinho Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 80 minutes, Silvinho Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa cruz fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvinho Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eriberto Martins struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Nicolas Trancoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa cruz fc. Eriberto Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hortêncio Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Chico Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luiz Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hortêncio Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
