The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Gugu Garcia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Percival Velloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 7thth minute of the game Jean Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but є.¢. мαℓƒєѕ вяαѕιℓ's João Carlos Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jean Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Carlos Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Cruz in the 11th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Walmir Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Gugu Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. є.¢. мαℓƒєѕ вяαѕιℓ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jean Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Cruz in the 29th minute of play forced є.¢. мαℓƒєѕ вяαѕιℓ's goalkeeper João Carlos Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percival Velloso came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by є.¢. мαℓƒєѕ вяαѕιℓ's Gugu Garcia. But to his dismay, Gugu Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. João Carlos Carioca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jean Cruz went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Jairo Miranda struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. João Carlos Carioca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mandacaru. In the 47th minute Jean Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

João Carlos Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Miranda in the 53rd minute of play. Mandacaru's Jean Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jairo Miranda scored 2-2 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Carlos Carioca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Mandacaru defense, Marcus Pires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Percival Velloso. The Mandacaru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Percival Velloso should have stopped the shot. João Carlos Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77thth minute of the game Jean Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but є.¢. мαℓƒєѕ вяαѕιℓ's João Carlos Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Carlos Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Cruz in the 84th minute of the match. Marcus Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Jairo Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nicolas Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Jean Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Carlos Carioca. є.¢. мαℓƒєѕ вяαѕιℓ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Despite being the better team, Mandacaru failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
