Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Emanuel Berger started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th match minute, Valente SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Bueno to maneuver through the defense. Valente SC's Gonçalo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano Coelho in the 7th minute of play. If Fernandão Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Valente SC's Emanuel Berger in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arata's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th minute, Fernandão Carioca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gonçalo Salgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 24 minutes, Pedro Luís Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valente SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luís Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Tadeu Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Arata's Jano Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gonçalo Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guilherme Bueno in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Augusto Paes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pedro Luís Gomes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Augusto Paes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Emanuel Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Pedro Augusto Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, Arata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Quintal to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Arata:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Valente SC:s goal. In the 46th minute, the referee gave Valente SC a penalty. Zeca Gonçalves looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Pedro Augusto Paes. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Fernandão Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the game, Dorival Quintal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valente SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Arata's Dorival Quintal got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Emanuel Berger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Paes having to interfere. Claudinho de Azevedo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute Valente SC were awarded a corner. Zeca Gonçalves went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Silvério de Medeiros got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Augusto Paes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Emanuel Berger took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Augusto Paes. Pedro Augusto Paes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Fernandão Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Salgado having to interfere. Arata's Dorival Quintal got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Dorival Quintal off the ground. The supporters of Valente SC booed when Arata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Luís Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Paes having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Andrézinho Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernandão Carioca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luís Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Pedro Augusto Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valente SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
