Alan Matorin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flávio Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. If Alexsandro Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flávio Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alan Matorin's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Flávio Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Carlinhos de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juarês Arantes having to interfere. Ventura EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Alan Matorin scored to the left of an out of position Flávio Godoi, making the score, 2-0. In the 35th minute, Alan Matorin made a precise shot to the right of Flávio Godoi. Ventura EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 40 minutes into the match, Santos futebol clube's Alan Matorin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flávio Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Ventura EC defense, Alexsandro Meireles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flávio Godoi. The Ventura EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flávio Godoi should have stopped the shot. Alan Matorin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flávio Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Alexsandro Meireles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juarês Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos de Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 95 minutes into the match, Ventura EC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexsandro Meireles came free, but Flávio Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos futebol clube's Alan Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Santos futebol clube had played much better football throughout.
