Jococa's Válter Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Jococa from getting a goal against them. William Custódio charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William Custódio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jococa getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Glauco Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Válter Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Almoco's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Fantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válter Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jococa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
