Carlos Alberto Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Paulo Mota struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Dorian Vidal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urussuhy. Leonel Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Carlos Alberto Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

After 51 minutes, Luiz Fábio Coelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cenac fc and the Urussuhy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Urussuhy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Alberto Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Urussuhy's Angelo Ramalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dorian Vidal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Urussuhy were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
