When Reynaldo Arantes fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Delfina's protests and gave Reynaldo Arantes a yellow card for diving instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fernando Schmidt was the one to do the kick off. In the 81stth minute of the game João Eger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Delfina's Augusto Quirino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The attack was good, but when Natanael de Barros in the 83rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Paulo José Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natanael de Barros in the 87th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Gláuber Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
