After recieving a nice pass, Helmet HC's Joaquim Koehler tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 7 minutes into the game, Romeu Novaes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cacimbas EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Helmet HC the free kick. Romeu Novaes hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute of the match Ismael Mazza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Noel Vides skillfully saved the ball. Hernani Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Abel Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani Mota in the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Helmet HC booed when Cacimbas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noel Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Cunha in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Ronaldinho Veiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Correia. Helmet HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldinho Veiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of Helmet HC booed when Cacimbas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernani Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernani Mota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cacimbas EC's Hernani Mota got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Orlando Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Noel Vides having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Helmet HC's Manfredo Porto got a free kick in the 38th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Helmet HC's Célio Cunha got a free kick in the 53rd minute. During the 61st minute of the match Romeu Novaes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Romeu Novaes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Romeu Novaes hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Ronaldinho Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cacimbas EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldinho Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gernando Peixoto hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the game, Cacimbas EC's Ronaldinho Veiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abel Correia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Abel Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Veiga in the 76th minute of the match. Tomé Ferreira hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, Cacimbas EC's goalkeeper Noel Vides had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Guimarães. Ronaldinho Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Correia having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo da Rocha in the 94th minute of play forced Helmet HC's goalkeeper Abel Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Célio Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Noel Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Cacimbas EC were the better team. Cacimbas EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
