Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Umberto Freire got the match started through his kick off. Oséas de Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Brasil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Laerte Falcão charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laerte Falcão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Davinopolis EC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Laerte Falcão hit a great ball. Anselmo Brasil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Pedro Santos went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Falcão de Andrade hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Umberto Freire might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamim Branco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Umberto Freire ran back to his position shaking his head. When Miguel Bittencourt came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Davinopolis EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. When Umberto Freire fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Davinopolis EC's protests and gave Umberto Freire a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Umberto Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Oséas de Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th match minute, Davinopolis EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Benjamim Branco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Bittencourt in the 20th minute. If Miguel Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Umberto Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Pedro Santos in the 29th minute of play forced Davinopolis EC's goalkeeper Anselmo Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Benjamim Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Davinopolis EC. In the 35th minute Umberto Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Joazeirinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Neves to maneuver through the defense. Oséas de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Anselmo Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oséas de Alcântara was the one to do the kick off. José Pedro Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Anselmo Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the last second Anselmo Brasil throw himself and got hold of the ball when Oséas de Alcântara in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 59 minutes into the game, Oséas de Alcântara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anselmo Brasil. Oséas de Alcântara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Umberto Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Umberto Freire's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamim Branco was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Anselmo Brasil made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when José Pedro Santos sent off a good shot on target. Falcão de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Brasil having to interfere. Umberto Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Joazeirinho's Olívio da Cunha got a free kick in the 83rd minute. If José Pedro Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90thth minute of the game Oséas de Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Davinopolis EC's Anselmo Brasil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 97th minute, Gernando Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Pedro Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Brasil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Pedro Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Joazeirinho eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
